Project Coordinator- Residential Solar


Position Summary/Interdependencies:

The Project Coordinator for Residential Solar provides administrative, clerical and scheduling support to the Site Supervisor for all phases of projects.  The Site Supervisor depends on the Project Coordinator to oversee project related files, communication, correspondence, tracking, invoicing, and scheduling.  The Project Coordinator will interact and depend on the Site Supervisor, Purchasing Manager, Human Resources, and Accounting.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Data Entry for projects and job cost, Filing, Invoicing/Billing
  • Project Scheduling, Project Set up, Project Tracking
  • Submittals to Utility Service providers, as well as County and City building departments for project Service Permitting
  • Project Commissioning
  • Organize Meetings, Note Taking
  • Service Scheduling
  • Coordinate, manage and monitor equipment procurement, materials, and supplies.

Level of Responsibility:

  • This is a support position. The Project Coordinator will not make project level decisions or have authority for personnel, budgets, or projects.

Essential Job Requirements:


Driving:  Current, valid Driver License for California, clean driving record, and meet company auto insurance qualifications

TravelOccasional out of town work is required

Education:  High School Diploma or GED; Construction Management Degree preferred

Experience:  1 year in Residential, Commercial, and Industrial electrical; accounting and/or project management software, Solar Project Experience.

Required skills:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project; Ability to communicate and interact with a wide variety of personalities; Excellent organizational skills; self-starter and able to work independently; Detail oriented

Preferences: 1-2 years construction management experience, or in related field

Physical RequirementsAbility to sit at desk and computer for extended periods; bending; reaching, moving around the office and projects for meetings, communication with others; copier, computer, and office machine usage; ability to lift to 50 lbs.; work in all weather conditions
